Medora ND and Teddy Roosevelt National Park

Friday we left Moorhead and then headed west for the loooong stretch across North Dakota.  It took about 6 hours to get almost all the way across, with a couple of short stops (lunch, potty break, and a quick stop to fix one of the kayak cockpit covers that came loose).  I may be the only person who thinks North Dakota is very beautiful...especially the western half.

We're staying at an RV park in Medora tonight - it's a cute little touristy town about 30 minutes from the western border of ND.  Currently, there's karaoke going on a few sites down from us.  I don't think that's a highlight...

We got in at about 4:30 pm and had time to drive the loop through the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park.  It's beautiful and I'm glad we had time to see it.  We saw lots of bison, some deer, pronghorn antelope, hundreds of prairie dogs, and some (wild? free range?) horses.

Tomorrow we head for Belgrade Montana.  It's about 430 miles and may take about 9 hours for us, before stops.  We're plodding along slowly...
