next week in Sitka

I am helping another student with field work next week, so Sunday through Saturday I'll be in Sitka.  It's a 4.5 hour ferry ride from here on the fast ferry (~8 on the slow ferry, I think).  There will be a crew of 5 of us (all women!), hook and line fishing for juvenile sablefish.  When we catch them we'll tag them and pump their stomachs.  Karson, the MS student whose project we're helping with, is looking at what the sablefish are eating for her project.  I'll post pictures when I'm back!  Steve will keep busy while I'm gone...our neighbor wants to take him out to pan for gold once I leave.  Or as the neighbor puts it "When are you leaving so Steve and I can go have fun?"
